What
a terrific start to Tuesday! We reviewed polygons and created a variety of ways
to sort them into categories. With our partners we discussed ways that our polygons
could be sorted. One example that was shared with the class was sorting the
shapes into quadrilaterals and not a quadrilateral. We were introduced to Venn
diagrams as a way sort and classify our shapes. During physical education we
played Long Ball outside and enjoyed the exercise and sun. We were working on
three skills (running, throwing and cooperation) in this game. After physical
education we continued to listen to the adventures of Milo as he pursued
perfection. We shared our favourite parts and wonderings with our group members
in a discussion. In the afternoon we completed our web relating to If Our World Were A Village. From
our answers we discovered that there were similarities, but we wondered how the
geography affected our categories around the world. We thought it would be
interesting to create our own personal web with the categories. Did you know
that there is a parent information night on Thursday and Friday is early
dismissal?
