Fit
Friday was a wonderful opportunity for the students to work on their fitness in
physical education class. We worked very hard in the gym and ended the class
with a quick game of “Crows and Cranes”. During math class we reviewed types of
polygons and played a game with a partner to put our skills to good use. After
finishing the class we ended with an exit slip to show our understanding of the
polygons. In the afternoon our class explored the question: What is the significance
of buildings and structures in creating a community’s identity/story? The
students collaborated in small groups to come up with questions and ideas that
would help us discover an answer to our question. We brainstormed many
questions and ideas, but as a group we felt that we needed to
understanding
what was identity first.
We started to explore our identity through the
picture book If the World Were a
Village.
Our
homework this weekend was to go home and talk to our parents about what might
be involved in our identity. We also have to remember to bring a book to read on
Monday. Have a great weekend!
