Fit Friday, September
16, 2016
It was wonderful to
see all the parents and families at our first parent information night. Our
focus during physical education was fitness and fun this Friday. We warmed up
with a game of “V.I.P” tag to develop cooperation and the physical movements focused on were sliding and changing direction. Our main activity was “Beat the Ball”. This
involved catching, throwing and running skills. We continue to practice for the
Terry Fox run, which will be held at the end of September. We finally learned
about Milo’s final adventure in his pursuit for perfection. It was interesting
to hear about how he solved his challenges and his understanding of perfection.
Today was early dismissal. For Monday please bring a book to read. Students
were also asked to collect visuals (from the internet, or copies of photos that
can be used in a class assignment on Who am I?) The categories include
transportation (favourite or most unique way they have travelled), traditional food or food
from a festival or celebration that is important to the student and their family (can
be a visual or a recipe), clothing (traditional, wore at a
festival/celebration), interests and hobbies, language, country, sports,
festivals/celebrations, shelters (where do you live) and any other area of interests. Students can also draw,
use pictures or words to represent ideas. Have a wonderful weekend!
is it needs to be only in papers or may be some real samples of clothes, art or culture things?
ReplyDeleteKhushi has made small power point presentation on the topic "Who AM I". She will bring one flash drive (USB) with her on Monday. Could you please help her in presentation. She will also bring hard copy of file.
